      Helium balloons: higher, and you steer

      In Maplewood, the helium balloons carry your car much harder and longer: your jumps last nearly twice as long. In the air, hit the nitro to climb higher in a trail of sparkles, and steer to guide your flight. And the bunch no longer jumps onto your car: you snatch it as you pass, it swings on its strings, trailing back when you speed and swinging ahead when you brake.

      The Attic: capsules you can grab

      In the Attic, the row of capsules that sat up the big plank, where everyone flew over it, has moved down just before its foot: on the boards, at full speed, you grab one before taking off.

      The arsenal, rebuilt from dome to bomb

      Every gadget has been rebuilt, with new effects, new sounds and a rumble on every hit. The Shield becomes the Dome, which takes two hits, sends rockets back and shoves cars away; the Steel Ball becomes the Big Marble, a hefty glass marble that bowls over cars and cones (“Strike!” on the second one). Water Balloons are lobbed to where your rival is headed, the Firework locks on before it dives (and the new Grand Finale fires three), the Bomb blasts the scenery and sets off the bombs nearby, and an explosion sets the Oil Slick alight, which a water balloon puts out. Capsules come back in 2.5 s, what’s inside depends on your place (oil slicks and marbles up front, turbos and rockets at the back), and Elite and Legend bots now steer around puddles and incoming balloons.
